Kanoelani Elementary School (KES) is an elementary school in Waipio on the island of Oahu. Kanoelani Elementary School’s vision is to be an innovative community of leaders, risk takers and warm-hearted citizens who empower the best in each other.

CHALLENGES

KES needed to create web portal that would allow elementary school students, grades K-6, to learn more about the different career pathways and careers in each pathway. The portal needed to be designed with the student experience in mind and also needed to include a dashboard for teachers.

SOLUTIONS

We took an empathetic design approach, did the pre-design user experience research, and interviewed potential users.

We carefully selected the color palette, fonts, and artwork to ensure that the platform was friendly and warm. The thoughtful and intentional design creates a user experience that engages and captivates young users and leaves a lasting impact.
